Pin bush type flexible coupling

Pin bush type flexible coupling is of the cushioned drive type , transmitting the torque , through high tensile bolt to the machine input shaft. Highly developed rubber compounds are used in bushes to absorb shock leads , torsional vibrations and slight misalignment. The listed couplings are standerd, but special types and sizes will be considered if quantities warrant tooling. Flanges are bored to suit requirements and keywayed to British standard specifications , unless otherwise stated.

S.S. offers - as stock item-platewheels specifically for torque limiterapplication. Select your planetwheel from our standard sprocket catalogue. For more precise torquesetting and more applications where slippages may be frequent, it is recommended that a S.S platesprocket be used. Rated torque capacity can only be obtained with dry friction liners and with a S. S.plate sprocket. For optimum Torque Limiter performance plate sprocket must be flat, paralled, squarewith bore and free from rust, scale and oil. If plate sprocket is not in accordance with thesespecefications. Torque Limiter capacity will be erratic and generally lower.
